Today our core business is supporting the exploration and production of oil and gas reserves worldwide. We will gradually move into new energy where we see great opportunities in business such as carbon capture and storage.
Reporting to the Vice President, Data Sales Europe, we are seeking
a Sales Manager who is responsible for developing clients and assisting them in getting the required data to support their explorations projects. There are competitors in the same areas, however, PGS is the only provider with their own data.
The Sales Manager position is office-based in a small and experienced environment in Stavanger, Norway, but will require travel to other PGS locations. We are flexible when it comes to your work location, and don't mind you working from home a couple days a week.
Responsibilities:
• Market, promote and sell all PGS products and Services
• Build relationships with new and existing customers
• Manage and sell existing MultiClient library maximizing the portfolio's value
• Work closely with Business Development to promote Contract /MultiClient projects.
• Develop supporting business plans for all commercial activities owned by Sales & Services
• Encourage and facilitate an open dialogue, sharing all business intelligence across PGS
• Provide support in generation of marketing material to promote PGS' offering
• Monitoring and management of the promotional and commercial value of G&G work done on PGS MC Data
Work tasks:
• Ensure projects and products are compliant with PGS standards, procedures and processes
• Plan, coordinate and assign tasks to complete own projects while effectively reporting progress
• Proactively provide good guidance and technical support to others to help them understand technical information, issues, etc.
• Effectively utilizes established services, products and workflows to develop effective plans
• Has broad exposure to PGS and industry practices, products and services, maintains an expert understanding of own discipline and some knowledge of related disciplines
• Constructively liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of technical and business requirements
Formal qualifications:
- Preferably a Bachelor/Master of Geology, Geophysics etc.
- Solid sales background
- We expect you to be familiar with CRM, ArcMap, Petrel, HoloSeis, Microsoft365
- Experience from the industry and technical understanding
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand PGS business and organization
- Solid “customer-orientation” with good communication skills
- Ability to work in a global team spanning a variety of cultures and perspectives
- Ability to deal with competing priorities
- Business language in PGS is English. Holder must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Valid passport and permission to work in Norway
As our new Sales Manager we expect you to ensure a good working relationship with all key stakeholders related to the role. You will work closely with your team members in Stavanger and in Oslo as well as the Business Development team and the Imaging team. Externally you will be in great contact with Exploration and Procurement teams. Being open minded and available to accept client challenges is a crucial success factor in the role as Sales Manager.
